Double-Shaft Batch Conches

Our horizontal batch conches, type HBC are available in 1 lab and 2 industrial versions:
- HBC-150 with up to 150 kg/batch
- HBC-3 with up to 3000 kg/batch
- HBC-6 with up to 6000 kg/batch
The horizontal double-shaft batch conche HBC is optimized for chocolate formulations with high share of solid ingredients. This type of dry conche is equipped with two intermatching horizontal aligned conching shafts to efficiently process chocolate formulations which tend to generate large lumps.

Each conching shaft is equipped with special designed conching tools to provide the follwing benefits:
- Efficient specific energy input during dry conching especially when conching dry masses (milk- & white chocolates)
- Fast liquefying of the product by reversing the direction of the conching tools
- Energy input based conching by variable speed driven shafts
- Increased contact surface area between product, conching tool and conching bowl resulting in a higher energy input into the product
- Reduction of the risk of agglomerates, especially during dry conching
- Louvers to control the aeration, drying and flavor development process
